Born in Memphis and raised in Texas, his career has been marked by a vital and artistic intensity that runs through all of his work. On June 20th, he will perform at Sala Apolo in Barcelona, in a unique night where he will present his latest album, The Tomorrow Man.
With a broken, deep voice that seems to carry the weight of centuries of history, Hinson has managed to transform a turbulent biography into a masterful discography. Since his debut in 2004 with the album Micah P. Hinson and the Gospel of Progress, the artist has been compared to legends like Leonard Cohen or Johnny Cash .
Dividing his time between Spain and Texas, in recent years has begun a new vital and creative stage, focused on the present and leaving the past behind. This new chapter has taken shape in his latest work, The Tomorrow Man, an album that maintains its acoustic essence, but adds the serenity and reflection that only the passage of time could grant.
