Jazz, flamenco, funk and world rhythms come together in Work in Fusion, PATAX’s new tour. On November 27, the band arrives at Teatre l’Aliança del Poblenou with a live show where improvisation, virtuosity and a unique approach to music come together in a sound that is hard to define.
At the heart of PATAX is percussionist Jorge Pérez, trained between Madrid, Cuba and Berklee College of Music in Boston, who has spent years exploring the connections between seemingly distant styles. His music is built on respect for each tradition while embracing the freedom to take them into new territories.
With Aurora García on vocals, bailaora Sara Sánchez and a highly skilled band with a strong connection on stage, PATAX creates a show where rhythm moves from jazz to flamenco, from funk to world music, always with improvisation at its core. A concert where tradition, risk and creativity share the stage.
