Jack Savoretti in concert at Paral·lel 62!
A voice that blends soul and the Mediterranean
“I make music for love—there’s no other reason.” After more than twenty years of songwriting, Jack Savoretti continues to find in music a way to express who he is and where he comes from. On April 13, he returns to Barcelona to perform at Paral·lel 62.
Born in London, Savoretti began his career playing in pubs in the western part of the city. Since then, he has turned his experiences and his roots into songs that blend pop, soul, and Mediterranean melodies. Over the course of nine albums, he has built a world of his own and has collaborated with artists such as Miles Kane and KT Tunstall.
One of the most unique moments of his career came with “Touchy Situation”, a song for which he set previously unpublished lyrics by Bob Dylan to music, and which is part of *Singing to Strangers* (2019), the album that reached number one on the British charts.
With We Will Always Be the Way We Were, his latest album, Savoretti presents an intimate and reflective work about the passage of time, change, and the journey back home. All of this is delivered with that distinctive, raspy voice that has become his trademark.
See you on April 13 at Paral·lel 62 to hear songs from the new album live and revisit the songs that have defined his career!
